The Intrade Strategy and Business Development team thinks strategically
and globally about our next generation of predictive products. We help
define and implement products, business strategies, and operational
initiatives that contribute to the company's growth, enable innovation,
and help us continue to achieve our massive potential.
The Business Development and Strategy team currently has openings in the
following roles:
Business Development and Strategy, Associate
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize our next generation predictive tools
- Develop prediction-market based products to tap and foster our broad
and diverse community
- Establish and manage media and business partnerships
- Develop powerful tools to internally support our business growth and
development
Requirements
- Undergraduate BA/BS degree from a leading institution with preference
for an MSc, MBA or JD
- 2+ years experience in business and/or media strategies with an
Internet-based company
- Track record of developing business relationships in the
internet/media domain, with strong preference given to those who have
planned and implemented successful product launch strategies
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence both technical
teams and upper management
- Strong creative and analytical skills with clear leadership potential
Business Development and Strategy, Analyst
Responsibilities

Technology Development
The Intrade Technology Development team develops our next-generation
prediction market engines and communities. In addition to creating our
powerful market leading technologies, we apply our world-class
programming skills to create innovative tools in support of our rapid
business growth and innovation. We have the flexibility to apply our
talents to the most challenging issues and the freedom to propose and
develop new technologies that contribute directly to our growth.
The Technology Development team currently has openings in the following

Java Development Engineer / Webmaster
Requirements
- Relevant degree or equivalent
- Exceptional knowledge of Java programming language
- 1+ years work experience, preferably with an Internet or media
business

Media and Content
The Intrade Media and Content team develops and enhances the content and
social attributes of our prediction market community. We work to stay
informed of the world's most important events and to help others gain
access to our pre-eminent predictive data.
The Media and Content team is currently expanding to meet the needs of
our rapid business growth. We have an opening in the following role:
Content / Community Editor
Responsibilities
- Write Intrade-exclusive news stories by synthesizing breaking news
with our market generated predictive data
- Develop, edit, upload new multimedia content from internal and/or
external sources relevant to our market categories
- Moderate online community and monitor for insight into site user needs
- Collect and report web community usage statistics and trends
Requirements
- Degree or technical certification in journalism, communications or
related field
- 2+ years experience in journalism or public relations
- Track record of creating exceptional political, financial or
entertainment written news reports
