Intrade has listed a market on the possibility of an Assault Weapons Ban being reinstated in the United States.

Contract Rules:
A contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if an Assault Weapons Ban is officially reinstated in the United States before midnight ET on the date specified in the contract.
A contract will settle (expire) at 0 ($0.00) if an Assault Weapons Ban is not officially reinstated in the United States before midnight ET on the date specified in the contract.
An Assault Weapons Ban will be considered reinstated when it officially becomes law. Any ban must include a prohibition on the sale to civilians of certain semi-automatic so-called "assault weapons", including military-style semi-automatic rifles.
Expiry will be based on the passage a ban into law, as reported in three independent and reliable media sources.

The Exchange reserves the right to invoke Contract Rule 1.8 (Time Protection) if deemed appropriate.
Any changes to the result after the contract has expired will not be taken into account - Exchange Rule 1.4
