This market will settle $10.00 if the movie grosses over the specified amount in it's opening weekend.
This market will settle $0.00 if the movie grosses the same as or less than the specified amount in it's opening weekend.
The standard opening weekend is Friday - Sunday. Settlement will be made using the Actual Weekend Gross (domestic) published by Box Office Mojo on Monday. The market will always cover Friday - Sunday, except when there is a long weekend that includes Monday.
In the event of a long weekend that includes Monday the opening weekend is Friday - Monday. Settlement will be made using the Actual Four-Day Weekend Gross published by Box Office Mojo on Tuesday.
This market is for the opening weekend only and does not cover any screenings before the opening weekend begins (such as previews, advance screenings or a mid-week opening). The Weekend Gross figure published by Box Office Mojo does not include any such screenings.
THIS MARKET WILL BE SUSPENDED AT MIDDAY ET ON MONDAY (TUESDAY FOR LONG WEEKENDS) AND THEN SETTLED WHEN BOX OFFICE MOJO PUBLISH THEIR NUMBERS LATER THAT DAY.
If the movie is not released as scheduled (either for the specified week, or during 2012 for the Opening Weekend Box Office Returns for 2012 Blockbusters market) the market will be declared void and all trades reversed.
Any changes to the result after the market has expired will not be taken into account (Rule 3).
Due to the nature of this market you are obligated to read Rule 4 (Unforeseen Circumstances) and Rule 5 (Time Protection). Intrade may invoke these rules in its absolute discretion if deemed appropriate.
